It’s the waiting I really hate, loathe, detest and despise…
When you have to wait for the results of medical tests… not so much for yourself, but for someone close.
Anyway, it’s great news all around and it’s taken me a week to settle back into normal thinking mode.
I’ve been there before… many times… waiting for results of medical tests which someone close had… if it was me who had the tests it would be a damn sight easier…
As for the other person who had been taken ill, a relative, they’re ok at the moment…
I’ve learned some coping strategies when I’m faced with that “waiting”… I throw myself into something… usually something technical as I find turning
to my painting and such artwork kinda leaves the brain open to more emotional stuff… too much time to think in that quiet zone when absorbed in a painting. I tend to go for more snappier arty pursuits… like photography or computer art,
Anyway, I just finished a painting based on Monet’s Water Lilies… and even though I say so myself, it turned out very well. The biggest canvas I’ve worked on too.
Isn’t it great when you can look at some piece of work you created and actually admire it?
Anyway back to reality.
Great weekend last weekend, in spite of the weather. Walked for literally miles and miles and always forget that when we get to our destination, we’re only halfway through the journey… yep… we gotta walk back too.
Click on the thumbnail of the panorama pic at the top of this post if you want and once it opens in your browser, you’ll have to scroll left and right. It’s a b i g picture… but made from a series of pix. Once the big pic loads in your browser, you might have to click on it with the magnifying cursor…
Just finally I’d like to say a big “Thank You” to those of you who left comments and pinged me emails. Sorry I haven’t replied until now…needed to keep a clear (empty?) head.
