Good opportunity for getting into a routine… but still struggling to get sleep pattern back to normal… after a year of sleep deprivation I need to get back into a good sleeping pattern…
Interview last Friday? … well it was Friday the 13th
Got stuck behind a lorry in Lyndhurst.
As I was driving behind it the cable from the side unraveled… cable which had been holding a dozen high piles or crates… luckily I hadn’t driven onto the cable which just went between my wheels…
Once on theM27, another lorry, two vehicles in front of me loses a huge plastic drum which missed the car in front of me and myself by inches…
Interview went well… 2nd round interviews to come…
Coming out from Southampton… broken man hole cover causes gridlock in Southampton… took me an hour and a half to get onto the A35… rush hour… Friday…. Southampton… broken man hole cover… phew… what a day!
Superstitious?
Nah!
Touch wood…
Just found this on another blog… kinda IT flavoured…
Things Computers Can Do in Movies
1. Word processors never display a cursor.
2. You never have to use the space-bar when typing long sentences.
3. Movie characters never make typing mistakes.
4. All monitors display inch-high letters.
5. High-tech computers, such as those used by NASA, the CIA or some such governmental institution, will have easy to understand graphical interfaces.
6. Those that don’t have graphical interfaces will have incredibly powerful text-based command shells that can correctly understand and execute commands typed in plain English.

wow your day sounds like my week!
Hi there weirddreamer
We all get days like that I think… I kind of got everything all together in one go… maybe that’s why my week so far is just plodding along… I got it all out of the day last Friday
Many thanks for taking the time to read my blog and for leaving a comment… much appreciated weirddreamer.
It really is motivating to get comments every so often.
Have a great one.
Other techie thing that happens in movies is that when a radar beam goes over a contact it beeps!
Good luck with the job interviews and the sleeping.
Hi Lisa and many thanks again for taking the time to read my blog and to leave a comment.
Yep, it’s strange not having to get up at 4:30am every morning… have a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive to work… and then get home around 7pm in the evening… and then struggle to get some sleep at night due to knowing that I needed to try and sleep “quickly” as I had to get up early…
Some re-adjustment needed… some rest needed… before I myself am back on the radar
I just put a link to http://www.thehenshouse.co.uk from one of my sidebar widgets…
Once again many thanks
Have a good one…
Beep…

Good luck working out a routine. I know that once this job ends and I’m working on getting another it’ll be a struggle to get up and be productive, but it’ll be worth it. It’s just a matter of managing the siren songs of the bed and the XBox.
Hi there Doughgeek.
It’s so strange that we’re going through the same situation… almost…
It’s bit of a bumpy ride… but it’s just so damn exciting as well as being scary at the same time.
You’re also reading the same book as myself ; “48 Days To The Work You Love”… the podcasts are great too.
Hang in there my friend… hang in there… one day at a time…
Great blog too
I find this blogging thing quite a release and a help in some strange kind of way…
I’ve linked to your blog from one of the sidebar widgets on my own blog…
I wish you all the succes and I avidly wait for your postings.
Once again, many thanks for taking the time to post a comment to my blog…
I wonder how many other people in the world are going through a transition like this..?
Kind regards
Alex
