A Perfect Day…

Yesterday, on the spur of the moment, we decided to take a trip to Hythe and Beaulieu as we had heard and read a lot about how beautiful it is… and we weren’t disappointed…

The drive through the New Forest was magical and we passed a sign saying “Drivers Beware - Otters Crossing” !

We had some business in Hythe to sort out and then on the way back we stopped of in Beaulieu.

Did the usual touristy visit of the gift shops and got back to the car just before the heavens opened.

All in all another perfect day of just bimbling around and getting to know the area.

We met this little donkey chap outside one of the eateries… just walking around the street like he owned it… he probably does as far as he’s concerned.

We named him Dillon, although we suspect the locals already have a name for him

On the way back we drove through Lymington but were too tired to stop and look around. The last time we took a trip to Lymington was just before last Christmas as we’ll always remember the magical time we had down by the marina.

All the shops were were a hive of busy activity as last-minute gifts was bought shop keepers were getting ready to close for the holidays. Some shop-keepers were already getting their “Sale” signs ready for the New Year.
